Arrive Confident, and Strong As Hell
There's nothing worse than showing up to a competition and just feeling "off". We spend too much time and energy training to have it seemingly amount to nothing more than a crap performance. I have been there myself, and vowed to never let that happen again. I had to learn through the school of "hard knocks" - trail and error so that you don't have to. Not only will you only arrive stronger on comp day.. You'll arrive more confident in your abilities than you've ever been. Walk in - and own the place. This is the style of programming that got me my ASC heavyweight pro card.
How Long Is It?
10 weeks from start to finish. There are always three phases: Two main 4 week phases, followed by a 2 week peaking phase.
No Wasted Energy
When it comes to a program such as this, the question must be asked "What are you doing in your training sessions, and why are you doing it?" You had better be able to give and exact answer. If you cant, you probably shouldn't be doing it.
You aren't going to be wishing you had done more bicep curls when you're in the middle of your Max reps Log Press in 60 sec on comp day.
Once the events for a competition are released, the clock starts ticking. He who best takes advantage of that time usually wins. Davis Strength Systems Athletes train the events more often and harder than anyone else. If you truly want to master something, you must immerse yourself in it. Repetition is the Mother of Skill. You must perform that activity as often as you can manage. When you do so, your performance skyrockets, and your confidence becomes unshakable.
What Comes After This Program?
Provided you do not have another competition following the one you just completed, it's time to build. This is when we go under the hood and increase the horsepower in your engine. We focus on building muscle, strength, structural balance, and movement integrity with The Off-Season Strength Program.
